정효순 작가 노트 우리가 살아가고 있는 이 터전의 기본적인 원천(源泉)은 무엇인가? 우리가 삶을 살아갈 수 있는 것은 지구라는 큰 암석이 존재하기 때문이 아닐까? 가장 기초적이고 기본적이 아닐 수 없다. 예술을 하면서 나만의 것을 찾다보니 가장 기본이 되는 것이 무엇인지를 고민하게 되면서 하나하나 면밀히 따져보고 관찰하고 성찰하였다. 과연 원천이 되는 것이 무엇인가? 지구라는 별이 지각변동으로 지구 깊숙이 존재하는 불덩이가 밖으로 분출하여 비, 바람 등 자연의 온갖 풍파(風波)를 견기며 갈라지고 쪼개지고 잘게 부셔져서 흙이 되어 그 위에 자연의 온갖 만물이 살아갈 수 있는 터전이 만들어지고 오랜 시간 다듬어져서 자연의 한 존재인 인간이란 이름의 동물들이 사회생활을 일구며 살아갈 수 있는 터전이 되지 않았을까? 지구의 마그마가 지구표면으로 탄생하여 오랜 시간 동안 자연의 온갖 고락을 견디며 나중에는 흙으로 돌아가듯 우리의 인간도 어머니의 몸에서 태어나 여러 가지 많은 인생역경(人生逆境)을 견디고 이겨내어 살아가는 생로병사(生老病死)의 과정을 거쳐 한 줌의 흙이 되어 자연의 원천으로 돌아가게 된다. 이렇게 시간의 차이가 다를 뿐 바위와 인간의 일대기는 닮아 있다고 볼 수 있다. 우리는 자연을 통해 배우고 익혀야 할 것들이 너무도 많은 것 같다. 자연 속 바위의 일대기를 모티브로 하여 인간과 자연의 원천이 되는 바위를 주제로 하여 이야기를 만들어 가는 나만의 수묵바위를 작업하게 되었다. 수묵작업을 하면 할수록 바위라는 존재에는 많은 에너지가 숨어 있음을 알게 되었다. 한국화의 기본 바탕이 되는 선, 여백, 농담과 한국화의 여러 가지 준법을 사용하여 수묵기법으로 바위의 묵직하고 단단한 위상을 표현하려하였다. 겉으로 보기에는 아무것도 아닐 것 같은 작은 돌멩이가 가지고 있는 기운을 오랜 시간을 거슬러 올라가보면 이렇게 엄청난 내공이 숨어 있다고 볼 수 있다. 돌멩이 하나에 염원을 담아 자연에 보낸다. 태고적 불덩이 속에서 태어나 수많은 인고의 세월을 보냈을 너 큰 바위에서 쪼개지고 갈라지고 잘게 부서져 흙이 되기도 하는 너 자연의 원천인 너 너 없는 지구는 상상할 수 없어 아니 존재할 수 없어 우리는 너를 딛고 서 있을 수 있고 살아 갈 수 있지 작은 너지만 그 속에 품은 내공을 배워 나를 바르게 세우려 해 ~정효순 작업노트 중에서~ What is the basic source (源泉) of this site we live in? Wouldn't the Earth star be a place where a fireball that exists deep inside the Earth erupted due to tectonic fluctuations, and it split, split, and crushed to withstand all kinds of wind waves (風波s) such as rain and wind to become soil, and refined for a long time to create a base for all kinds of natural things to live on and for animals named humans, who are one of nature, to live their social lives? Just as Earth's magma was born on the surface of the earth and survived all kinds of hardships and later returned to the soil for a long time, our humans also become a handful of soil and return to the source of nature through life and 老病死, where they are born in their mothers and endure and live through various life 逆境. With this difference in time, it can be said that the life cycle of rocks and humans is similar. There seems to be so much we need to learn and learn from nature. I was able to work on my own ink-and-wash rock that makes a story with the theme of a rock that is the source of humans and nature as a motif of the life story of a rock in nature. The more I inked, the more energy I hid in the existence of a rock. The lines, margins, jokes, and various laws of Korean painting, which are the basis of Korean painting, were used to express the heavy and solid status of the rock with ink techniques. If you look back over a long time on the energy of a small stone that seems to be nothing, you can see that such a huge inner workings are hidden. They send their wishes to nature in one stone. Born in an ancient fireball, you must have spent many years of your life splitting, cracking, and breaking on large rocks into soil. You can't imagine the earth without you, the source of nature.
